The quest begins

Husband and I are getting ready to head out to a HoJo that's just about at the NY border...only a half hour away from MSK.  The surgeon actually just called to see how things were going (I'm SO not used to that!).  It's been a day of mixed emotions.  I actually opted out of talking to anyone on the phone, outside of my Dad, Mom in law, and sons...just not up to hearing too much of the "good luck...it's going to be a breeze" type messages.  We all know how that's always the case.  I hope to check in with you wonderful women by the weekend, at least.  My thoughts and prayers will be for all of us and the people who are our caregivers. Lori, especially for you.  Stay strong...be at peace!
