Hi

You posted about your sister and you mentioned an anal fissure. My mum has had 2 of these since her DX in March 2005.
I wondered what treatment you sister was having for this? Mums fissure flares up and gets very sore.

Anal Fissure Cream: prescription Analpram HC, it comes in 1% or 2.5%, the 2.5% seems to work better for my sister, it is hydrocortisone acetate with 1% pramoxine HCI, she soaks two times in tub and applies cream. There may be other creams available.

Colo rectal surgeon provided a cream to apply two times a day after soaking in warm tub. Gyn Onc provided a different cream. When I get time I will see if I can get you more info on creams and how many times per day etc. They have a steroid or something to soak in and relax muscle tension I believe.
