Gas and Bloating? Recurrence?

Six month of chemo,  and I started getting gas and bloating on and off,  could this be a sign of recurrence?

Well, it might be a sign of recurrence.  It might also just be a normal symptom of menopause if you had a complete hysterectomy when your cancer was discovered/started treatment.   It might also be the result of a change in diet, such as eating more bean soups with the onset of cooler weather.     Just discuss it with your doctor.

Hello all... I finished 5 straight days of Topotecan a couple of weeks ago, but I've had the 'gas and bloating' too, so wondering if it's the side affect of the Topotecan or something more sinister. It's a worry when something crops up, that one hasn't had before. My CA.125 was 1600+ when we started, so not sure until we check that again in a couple of weeks. Just hope that this stuff is working. I know most of us have some side affects from the chemo, and I guess we are all different, but I've not had this gassy bloaty feeling before.
Just want to wish you all well, and hope you are all doing fine. Helmar...

during and after chemo  my daughters doctors told her the gas and bloating was probably from what she ate.

There are tons of side effects from chemo. It is just how your body is handling the effect it had on you. My uncle had many problems after chemo and he has not relapsed but you should get blood tests just to make sure. Chemo has a strong effect on a person though so try not to worry.
