Recovery from Ovarian Cyst removal

I had an Ovarian Cyst, part of my left Ovary and tube removed 2 days ago. I am bleeding bright red blood still though not heavily and want to know how long this will go on for. Its a bit freaky for me as I had Uterus removed 11 years ago so I haven't had a period since then. Stupid I know but it hadn't occurred to me that I would bleed. Also I have terrible pain under my ribs enough that its painful to take deep breaths. Is that normal?

I am not sugesting that there is something wrong but post surgery pain with deep inspiration is of concern call your surgeon and let them know, it needs to be invesigated. Post operatively there are a few things that can cause those symptoms. Also let them know you have post op bleeding X2-3 days.
good Luck

Yes that is the most likely, if it gets worse or does not get better in a day or two give them a ring back.
Good luck

I rang and spoke to one of the nurses on the ward as I have also had some clotting and she told me that the rib pain was the trapped gas!
