Help needed ASAP!

Hi ladies,
Is there anyone out there that has tried Cvac clinial trial for ovarian cancer? http://www.primabiomed.com.au/trail/

bascially they create a vaccine using your own white cells etc and then inject it into you to turn your immune system back on to start fighting off cancer naturally. It is not an autoimmune drug like chemotherapy so i am actually keen to hear from anyone that has been on it? Trials run here in australia and in the U.S. I have been accepted for treatment, althought not part of trial, i can recieve free treatment. I have BIG decisions to make and its literally doing my head in! Help needed!

Looks like no one is familiar with it or tried it yet. I've read articles about vaccine therapy for cancer but never heard of this particular one. Do you know if this trial has been run before elsewhere or is this the very first run?

I don't envy you with this decision. It's a tough one.

Hi,
I know its phase III so obviously there were women in phases 1 and 2 and they has successful results so were allowed to progress onto the next phase. At least i know its not harmful i suppose and i got nothing to lose but so much to gain. Anyway emergency run to hospital, apparently my stents are blocked. This is not how i envisioned living life as a 26 yr old.

I wonder if our vaccine and gene therapy up at OHSU (here in Oregon) has much information about it? I can have my husband ask about it tomorrow. Then again, they just carefully guard their results. What you probably want is how does it feel/work according to the patient's standpoint. That's tough to find.

Hope they flush out the stents OK.

Hi,
Yes i would love to know more about gene therapy. I have heard about bruzynski clinic and the wonderful things they are doing. I support vaccine thats use our "natural" immune system, not sure if i support the ones where they use our actual tumours etc sounds a little scary.
