Isulin therapy

Has anybody tried the Insuline Therapy suggested by the German Institute? Has anybody heard about positive results of our case treatment?
I shall be grateful for professional opinion too.

Hi, I'm hoping whatever meds you go with bring you health and peace.

I have a friend who is our age living in Moscow.  If you are single, and would like a very handsome, intelligent and wonderful man to include in your group of friends, I'll give you Karl's details!

Sometimes a diversion is just what we need!

Best wishes,
Morrowville

Hi, Helen!
I'm in Moscow. The weather is unusually warm now.
As for Doxil, it is not working - the recent CT shows growing and more places around peritoneum. CA125 went up to 178 last month, now it is 171. Perhaps it is a good sign. I hope to know in few day what the doctor decide about next courses. I had 2 short remissions, renewed treatment last December. Wish you all the best, Tanya

Hi Tanya... No, I wasn't lucky enough to have 2 years remission, but the Doxil did get my numbers down, as I always have very high numbers... in 1000s. I've not had a remission since I only had about 9 months after my operation. I've been doing some sort of chemo off and on since then. I have heard that some women get the sore hands and feet, but I was lucky not to get that. It's best not to have hot showers, or eat/drink hot food or drinks... or wear tight clothing.
Where in Russia are you? My G.P. originally comes from St.Petersburg. I hope you are getting some warmer weather there now. :-)... and I hope you are feeling well, and the Doxil is working good for you. Best wishes and hugs...Helen...

Dear Helen!
Thank you very much for your message! It is so important for me here in Russia. It is a completely new drug here. After my last tomography taken last week I was very depressed because they found new metast in new places at peritoneum. How could they grow there if Doxil have been working? Do you mean you had 2 year remission period? That is great!
I had a severe red foot sindrom (all over my body!) after the 3 rd treatment, could not even walk as the skin at the most stretched areas was broken. Now I have only one remaining spot at one foot. Best wishes to you and everybody here too. I'm glad I found this community - a lot of supportive information. Tanya

Hello... It is known that Doxil will send the CA.125 up for the first 2-3 treatments, and then it will come down.  It seems that  your numbers have come down a little after the 4th. treatment, so perhaps it would be good to stay on Doxil for another one or two treatments to see if the numbers come down more. If not, then a change to another chemo would be in order. I am on Doxil again now, after having it 2 years ago. It worked well for me then, and was still working for 3 months after I finished the 4th.treatment. My Oncol. took me off Doxil because I got large and very sore mouth ulcers as a side affect. I hope you are feeling well, and please let us know how you are doing. Best wishes.   hugs....Helen. (Another Helen :-)

Thank you very much for your reply!
I was away for quite a long time from this forum. I've got 4 course of Doxil in vain - tumor has grown and spreading. CA125 went up from 107 to 178 after 3rd course, now 171 after the 4th, which is pretty the same. I'm very much upset. My doctor pescribed change of chemo to gemsar+eloxatin. Bad news...
I'm trying also other things like Maiteke, selen, Pau-D'Arco, without any obvious success.

This is IP therapy and a lot of alternative clinics even in the US use it. I went to a place that uses it and found out that a doctor is not on the premises at all times. That turned me off. I haven't seen a lot of good documentation and studies on it. if the German Institute recommends it than they should have the documentation for you. I am not at all discounting it but like to don't know enough on the outcome vs. traditional methods such as survival. The treatment may be easier on you but does it do better with survival.

Keep stress out of you life--that has been proven to help with survival. Best of luck with you research. Helen
