It just goes to show

It's Friday night, lets chill.

I am from the UK and had my recent treatment was done like most people here under our National Health Service which is free at the point of entry.

Opposite me in my four bed ward were two women, one 30 (very good looking) and the other 69 and I swear I thought she was 59 at the most.  We all left on the same day and our stay together was as good fun as you can get on a ward.

The 30yr old had had major laser treatment on her cervix, one step away from total removal of all reproductive organs, 3 children (all gorgeous), divorced, new boyfriend.  She wanted a hysterectomy because she couldn't be bothered with all the hassle.  She was having treatment for major peritoneal infection.

The 69 year old was in for bladder surgery.  They had recommended a hysterectomy at the same time.  She resisted it as she wished to keep her womb.  Her family was lovely.

My eyes were opened. We had interesting debates about it -  each argument as good as the other.  The conclusion we came to was do whatever YOU feel is best.  Good luck to you both and thank you for making my stay in hospital go quickly.

Have a lovely weekend.

Ill tell you what the one thing I missed out on was support from other patients. I had a private room and I remember a couple of days after surgery crying. I got louder and louder until ultimately I was sobbing - no one came!

Interesting roomies, sound like wonderful ladies.  Yes, no doubt that we are in control of our choices, and thank God we are.  We all have different life experiences, genetics, health problems, we all have different reasons for making the choices we do.

I hope your roomies are faring well!
