Level of Pain

I'm having my ovarian cyst removed and wanted to know if I will be in more pain after surgery if I have to have an ovary removed.

hi i have had both types of op, my right ovary removed with a cyst 18 years ago and a left cyst removed with my ovary in tact 5 days ago.i can honestly say i dont think there was much difference in the pain. i had morphine for 24 hours but i found it made me feel nauseous so i did without it.it feels sore but nothing too terrible, i even went out today for a coffee for an hour! im sure you will be offered as much pain relief as you feel you need, take care sharon.

You won't feel a difference.  I agree, accept pain meds and don't hesitate to ask for something if you're feeling discomfort.
