Looked at test results and bad idea

Ok so I know I was sketchy on the details in my earlier post but I had to pick up my records to bring to the surgeon later this week and that was just a bad idea. Here's what it says -

Right Ovary has hypoechoic solid mass (2 x 2 x 2.6) occupies most of the right ovary - may be benign cystadenoma the possibility of a malignancy cannot be excluded. There are two or three small cysts in the remaining thin margin of noraml ovarian tissue; the largest of the three cysts measures 7 mm in diameter.

Left Ovary has a mostly cystic mass involving the left ovary (4.7 x 6 x 6.8 cm). There are inumerable tiny mobile echodensities within this cystic mass and the laterl margin of the mass contains a 2 mm in diameter septation.

OH and get this - ectopic pregnancy can't be ruled out at this time even though there was no free fluid.

Ok so I'm freaking out now. It's worse than they led me to believe originally. Anyone have ANY input. My consult with the surgeon is this week and I've started having more dizzy spells.

It sounds to me as if they should go ahead and do an exploratory laparoscopic procedure on you if for no other reason than to rule the ectopic pregnancy out.  an ectopic pregnacy can rupture more easily that the ovarian cyst and cause more damage.

Ok this may seem totally selfish but does this mean that I might loose both ovaries? I just don't get this. They didn't lead me to believe that this is that bad.

OK, now let's just calm down.  I know you said that your appt. with your dr. is next week.  Can you call the office and let them know that you have the results and you are freaked?  They cannot rule anything out until they go inside and do the biopsy.  Remember, 99% of ovarian cysts are benign.  I know the waiting is the worst part of this whole ordeal and not knowing comes in a very close 2nd!  We are here for you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

Mine were both very much the same and both ended up being benign.  Don't jump ahead (though I know how hard it is to do that).  They also said malignancy couldn't be ruled out but it never can be until they are in there.
Hang in there.
