It's possible that she was referring to the frozen section. That's the initial report that comes back to the OR. Final studies usually come back a few weeks later. "Everything looks normal" is commonly doctor-speak for "I'm covering my a**". Hang in there.
peace,
Anne
That's true, I forgot about the frozen section. The only thing I worry a bit about is borderline but given my history of PCOS, I'm thinking it's probably related. My orginal gyno wasn't ruling out an endometrioma also as he said that the low level echos and nodule on the wall (which he felt confident was a retracting blood clot) are pretty indicative. Here's what kills me - I can see it in the photo but what the heck is it? Inquiring minds want to know :)
Unless you're near someone who can read the pictures with a professionally-trained eye, it's going to torment you to continue to try and figure this out for yourself. Hopefully your follow-up appt isn't too far away. Try and stay calm, write down your questions and be prepared for a nice, long chat with your doc.
peace,
Anne
I agree with Anne.....from what I understand too, that when things look suspicious, I don't think she'd used the "normal" line. Of course the pathology report will be the finale. So hang in there and try not to worry. I know, easier said than done. I am sure I will be on here after my surgery asking for your help too. Btw, when I have my surgery my 2 best girlfriends will be there, one a nurse and the other a pharmacist so I know they will quote the doctor and bug him as well with questions, while my man will have a blank look on his face.....LOL Hang in there sweetie

Oh, to be honest, not terribly worried, just frustrated that my husband can't give me much. My parents are in their 70s and I can ask my Dad again, but I"m sure they don't remember all the details or what was given. I'll check tomorrow. Like I said, she was pretty positive beforehand cancer wasn't an issue and my doc friend checked out all the U/Ss and reports and felt the same. I do believe it's benign as I still have very healthy looking ovaries, tubes and a uterus. I know this surgeon and I know she could take everything if need be and wouldn't hesitate if things looked remotely suspicious. I'm just an info junkie and impatient :)
