Caelyx and Rising CA125

Mums CA125 was 330 at Xmas when she had a partial bowel obstruction, after surgery it went to 75. She has had her blood test after her second cycle of caelyx and her CA125 was 80. I am concerned it is rising and not falling?!

hi their i just finished my first round of caelyx and my oncologist not to worry if the ca 125 goes up as sometimes for the first few times it can rise however it does not mean the chemo isnt working.my ca125 jumped from 372 to 572 however at the end of 3 cycle's they will take a ctscan to tell if the chemo is working cause the tumor i have fr ovarian became resistant to the first chemo...its like we say yea it ***** and for me its sometimes so difficult rising aboved the shadow of this monster,,,if you have any ideas how to keep above please share...anyone and everyone.....GOD bless us all an dmay we be a source of comfort to one another threw these times...all the best to you and mom...keep moving forward...gabby

Don't they usually want to do 3 cycles before the doctors worry about the CA125?  
I hate this disease.
