down in the dumps

This is not really a question. I'm just nervous and depressed about waiting for CA125 results tomorrow. I've had 9 Doxil treatments so far with really no side effects. Ca125 started at 55, went to 25, 21, 17,12, 14. I guess you can say things are going pretty good, you should be happy. But I get so worked up over this blood test that I want to crawl in bed and stay there.Now I do have a question. When someone gets a reoccurance is it still possible to have a decent remission time, I mean no chemo at all? Thanks and Happy Easter. Stay well.

As you see, you are not alone. We all play that waiting game and we all just hate it!
I truely hope that you will get that long remission, (and yes it is possible). Hang in there and as the others have said, try to keep your mind and body busy, as it does help.
      Best of luck to you!

I feel the same way when waiting for my results. I find it helps to go see a movie at the theatre (harder to zone out and start thinking about the test) or get involved in a very good book. Just try and keep your mind positive. With love and prayers for a low number, Deandra

It is absolutely possible to have a long remission after a recurrence.  I am thinking of you.

Leslee and you seem to be following the same course here. She also has completed 9 Doxil treatments, is waiting for her scans, blood work and Muga  next week.   As Angie puts it, knowing is not going to change the outcome,  the stress you let creep into your life can make you miserable.  Leslee stays positive and  busy, carries on her life as close to normal as possible.  When the pains creep up on her, she deals with them by alliviating them with whatever the doctors have ordered.  She knows when she pushes herself too hard, that it might take a toll on her body. But she continues to push.  She refuses to let the cancer run her life.  In fact just yesterday she was offered a chance  to teach a class in sign language at the local community college.  This came about because she volunteered this week to take over for an absent teacher,  she went to the class to learn and ended up the teacher.  This conference was all about cancer treatments, both medical and natural.  The class was to help care givers dealing with deaf cancer patients. Leslee is so excited, she says you never know when an opportunity is going to open right in your face.  I believe she eliminates stress by always looking forward to the challenges of the next day.  Yes, she does look forward to results from the tests, but doesn't let it cause her worry.  Ce'st La Vie  {that's life}

We all worry about that ca125. Mine went up 10 pts. between my last chemos. Yes, I met a lady in chemo that had a longer remission after her second round of chemo.than her first .I think she said it was topotecan.She actually had a remission after her third round. She had just had her 3rd recurrence. There was a lady on another forum that had 1 recurrence and it hasn't come back in over 10 yrs. We all react different to different chemotherapy. Think good thoughts. Happy Easter too.
