Hello there-
I feel for you. Some doctors are just not proactive. You have to be your own advocate. Ask questions and ask some more. Get answers and don't leave the office until you feel comfortable that your questions have been addressed. My number one suggestion is to see a Gynocologist/ Oncologist. That is the top of the top for OVCA doctors. He or she will know what is going on, that is what they specialize in. I began my journey with my family doctor, landed in the ER, went to my ob/gyn who I trusted for the last 5 years, he drug his feet for 4 months and then I got so disappointed, I made an appt. with the Gyn/Onc and low and behold he told me exactly what was wrong with me and I had surgery 2 weeks later. Stage lllc. He saved my life as far as I am concerned. The regular ob/gyn would have just let me go, who knows where I would be today. Hope this helps. DH

Hi! Try not to be scared; and take control of the situation and be proactive.  If you are not happy with the results of the x ray demand more tests.    My O. Cancer was dx by a CAT Scan when I was in the hospital for a blood clot in my lung.  I had been on a drug for R. Arthritis which hid the pain in my abdomen.  I had to go off that because of the blood clot and within a few days had such a pain in my lower abdomen that I had to demand they do a CAT Scan before they released me from the hospital.  I have been told for years I had IBS as well.  Do you have other symptoms?  You are welcome to E-Mail me if you want to talk further.  Take care of yourself and let me know your xray results     Sue
