pain in left side and bleeding between periods

I am having quite a lot of pain low in my left side and I am also bleeding in the middle of my cycle. I am really starting to worry about this could it be cancer. If not any ideas as to what could be causing it.

It could be related to ovulation.  You might have cysts causing the pain and bleeding.

I'm going in for a lap tomorrow for the same problem. Severe pain and swelling midcycle - only I get it on my right side. They originally assumed it was just cysts, but this will tell more.

Good luck

Bleeding in mid-cycle can often be caused by hormonal imbalances.  Hormonal imbalances can often be caused by cysts on the ovaries.  Cysts on the ovaries can often cause pain.  Please see your doctor.  Your doctor will probably request an ultrasound, and possibly have testing done to determine your hormone levels.
