Normal CA-125 together with 8-cm ovarian cyst in 58--year-old woman

I have no idea anymore what's up and what's down. My doctor's secretary called today to say my CA-125 is normal (29.5), and yet I have an 8-cm ovarian mass, breathlessness, swelled stomach, and general abdominal malaise. I had my CAT-scan this morning, but won't know anything until Wednesday at the earliest.

What gives? I don't think I can stand this much longer.

Sounds like the symptoms of an ovarian cyst!  Just remember that 99% of ovarian cysts, masses, or tumors (docs don't know what they are until they see them and biopsy them) are BENIGN.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

Hi,

Good luck for your results on Wednesday. I had my C.T scan this afternoon and hope to get my results tomorrow. The waiting part is horrible but once we no what is wrong we can then take the next step to getting better.
