As suspected, he was excited about my scan and mammogram. I am officially in remission. He says statistically my chances of being cured are 35% (you calculated that correctly, Alan!) but he upped it to 50% because of optimal surgery and great response to chemo. My tumor marker has been in normal range since treatment No.2 and is now at 11.
50% sounds like a lot, on the other hand, as he puts it, it's a coin toss. I would never think of tossing a coin for my life but I gotta take it. Could be worse. Time will tell.
As for the fatty liver, he says no biggy, everyone has some fatty infiltration and it's not enlarged. If I want to, I can take it up with my regular doc but I am sick of anything medical and will enjoy my summer first!
He said I can take vitamins/supplements again but not to go overboard. He's funny, because he himself takes 16 pills a day, like Q-10 Enzyme, fish oil, garlic (he urged me to take garlic supplements), vitamin C (no more than 2 grams a day), a multi-vitamin, etc. Other than that, a healthy lifestyle is all he could recommend. Kinda makes sense to me!
