Need some answers..

Hi I am 24 and recently had some events that have had me so confused. On June 30th I had the heaviest mens. ever, it lasted about 9 days and the flow was heavy all the way up to the 7th day. I usually only have a light flow that last about 5-7 days. This period had me in a lot of pain and it had me really worried that maybe it could have been a possible miscarriage. After about 3 weeks of worrying I got a really bad infection and decided it was time to head to the ER. During my visit to the ER the Doctor advised I had a very bad infection and tried to tell me I had PID, I told the Doctor that it was nonsense since I am married and had just recently been the  gynecologist and had a perfect exam. The doctor decided to have me take a pregnancy test before she would have me proceed with anymore exams, I was never given the results so I assumed the test came back negative. Next thing I know I am being wheeled down to the Radiology department. During my Ultra sound the radiologist kept going back to my right ovary. He then said he needed to perform a trans vaginal ultrasound.

After the exam I went back to the room where the doctor performed a pelvic exam, by this time I was really getting worried. The doctor explained that during my ultrasound they found a mass near my right ovary. She then asked if I had been experiencing any pain on my right side, which again really worried me. After many questions she advised that I see my gynecologist for an immediate follow up. She then prescribed me medication for my infection.

I don't have insurance, so I have been putting off my follow up due to my financial status. I am now experiencing lots of pain, especially when I have a full bladder. After much reading on the internet I decided I should get copies of my xrays.

The Radiologist left specific details for the doctor stating: Complex 2.4x2.4x1.7cm mass adjacent to right ovary raising possibility of ectopic pregnancy. No evidence for intrauterine gestational sac.
Endometrial Thickness 8.2mm
Free Fluid: Yes/small quantity of free fluid is seen within the pelvis
Cysts found on right ovary

I have since had 2 normal/light menses and a negative pregnancy test. Please if you can shed any light on this situation I would really appreciate any information.

Thank You

Thank you for writing back. I really appreciate your input, I have been so worried and lately my symptoms have worsened. I have been noticing small amounts of spotting daily and have even changed my sleeping arrangements, sometimes just sitting to long can flare up pain on my right side.

You need to get to a clinic and have this taken care of immediately. Don't mess around with something like this. You have a mass, that is not normal. You need to think about you. If you and your husband want to have children someday. You need to get this taken care of now.
