Ovarian Cancer Symptoms

I know that I will never have a definite answer until I get to a doctor to properly diagnose me. I just want to see if anyone else experienced the same things and could at least give me some insight until i can get to the doctor.

My Stats: I am 24; I have given birth to one child and even breastfed. I am in pretty good physical shape. Never had any real significant health issues in the past.

However, earlier this year I was experiencing some mild pain that varied from dull and achy to an almost burning sensation with in my pelvic/abdomen area. My doctor after a pelvic exam my doctor diagnosed me with PID. I was given antibiotics and after they rechecked me they said that it was gone.

2 months ago the same pain started back up again, but went away once I had a menstrual cycle.
Now the pain is back along with pressure and my frequent need to urinate. I took two Motrin 800mg and the pain is here. I went to the doctor who did a pelvic exam and for the first time I felt pain during an exam. She said that she felt a mass so I went and got a sonogram done on my pelvic region and but they said that everything looked normal

My doctor now wants to do a CT scan and even a laparoscopy. Its thanksgiving weekend so I will have to wait until Monday but the anxiety and this pain is getting to me. I am scared and frighten, so if anyone has any insight or had the similar let me know. Thanks!

If there was no mass seen in the sonogram, chances are they will not find one in the CT Scan....the pain cold be from functional cysts, and that could have been what the doctor felt and by the time the sono was done, it resolved.  Functional cysts are very common in women that are still menstruating.   The pain could be the cysts popping.  They will also produce neausea, etc......if you hurt that bad, go to the Emergency , they will most likely do a CT Scan.  Don't just for the lap, get all the tests done first.

Good luck
Pam
