Ovarian Cancer and removal of Omentum

I have gone through chemo removal of my ovaries and removal of the Omentum.  I dont seem to be able to loose any weight and was wandering if anyone may know if removal of the Omentum has anything to do with it. Also was put on a low dosage of hormones because of hot flashes does anyone have any input on taking these after having Ovarian Cancer.Thankyou

My omentum, tube and ovary were remove due to stage 3 ovarian cancer. I too have gained lots of weigh. The weigh gain I believe was the result of steroids that was a part of my chemo treatments.

Just to say I had surgery to remove my omentum last year in the middle of my chemo treatment - can't say it affected my weight.  The only thing that did that was me eating too many chocolates!  (after all the treatment)   Cheers Jenny

My sister had a complete hyst everything came out. She eas put on low dose B/C for 2 years and she was fine. Her hot flashes and night sweats were making her miserable all the time. She went off then after 2 years and was only off a month and needed to go back on them. That was 3 years ago.She has just now started to be weaned off them again. She is a diffferent when she is taking them and like King Kong with PMS when she is not.
Good luck

The hormones may be the the reason for not losing weight.  I can't do even a tiny amount of hormones without weight gain.
