Ok, here's the follow up to my Hep Panel. The Dr. said she would call me ONLY if it came up positive, well, I have not heard from her, which is great news. However, it still worries me that my AST and ALT levels are high. Should there be something else I should be badgering the Doctor to look for?
The pain in my lower right abdomen hasn't gotten any better, in fact, it seems to have gotten worse, especially when my husband and I are intimate. It hurt before, but since I've seen the Dr. it seems to be harder for me to enjoy sex b/c of the pain, is it just my mind working overtime?
And of course there's the frustration of working with military dr's b/c I'm not able to be seen on post by an ob/gyn specialist, I have to be seen in network, and that information is being sent to me and should receive it about the same time my hubby's goes to school in SC for 6 weeks. So, whenever I can go in to have the cyst removed I have to wait until my hubby comes back home then be in recovery while we move to another location.
Arrgh!! This is so frustrating! I've always been a healthy person, and as soon as I turned 28 it seems my body has started falling apart. I'm sorry ladies, I had to vent somewhere. Thanks for all the help.
Everything else were within normal ranges, that's why AST ALT stood out. Also, I'm not taking any pain medication since it usually knocks me out (even 1 extra strength tylenol) because I don't take anything for anything. I guess I like to suffer. LOL.
Hi Gofast,
Welcome to the forum, I am tall like you! Was 5'11' at your age but down to 5'10'' at 48. Oh great! Grey hair and shrinkage!!!! Pam is probably right on about your test results but hoping Livertrans (Brenda) drops in. She is our SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the liver issues, there seem to be many in conjunction with ovarian issues but no conclusive link discovered thus far. Pam is right, try not to worry! Many people test high for liver enzymes. You might want to repeat the test in a few months or ask for a liver ultrasound. It's non-invasive and can rule out many causes of liver disease. How were the other enzymes in the panel?
