Ovarian Cyst

I have an ovarian cyst 16.3x9.2x15.2 . My c125 bloodwork is 31 and everything surrounding is unremarkable . To take  precautions I've been referred to a gyn onc.  My question is this ... I'm a flight attendant, is it safe to fly with this until my surgery?

CA125 is individual. For some people it is really high for others too low. For me it is right on. It goes up alittle and my cancer is progressing. It is only a tool.

My Mother in law was diagnosed with stage 1 grade 3 ovarian cancer in May of 2014. She was 76. The cancer has now spread to her lung. Now she is stage 4 grade 3. Her CA125 has always come back normal. We've been told that CA125 is not a reliable test to determine cancer. It is a tool that is used, not a great one but the best they have currently. I'd definitely insist that you have a biopsy.

There should be problems flying. You might ask your doctor of his nurse to be sure. I did have cancer and I rode horses the day before my surgery. The doctor said it was okay. They send you to a Gyn/oncologist for more complicated cases. Your ca 125 is normal which is good. Unless you have the BRCA gene you only have a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in a life time. Cysts can be large an non cancerous. When is your surgery?
