Ovarian mass

I am 51 and have just started menopause.
2 weeks ago they found a complex mass measuring 26x24x8cm. I also have fluid build up. Not sure if the fluid is included in size of mass.
what I'm wondering is if anyone knows if they can take a mass of that size and remove it with laparoscopic surgery?

Yours cyst is large.  The doctor will want to remove it through the abdomen so there is less chance of spillage.  I agree with HVAC.  The only true diagnosis is biopsy.  I hope all is well.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

That is a large cyst. Mine was 9.5cm (with the other 2 dimensions being around 9cm). I don't know if they can remove one that large laparoscopically or not. Hopefully, you will fall into the majority and it will be benign. Mine was benign but my organs were removed anyway. :( As Alex said, if you don't have a genetic link for ovarian cancer, then your lifetime risk is less than 2%. I hope your surgery goes well and biopsy is negative!

I am not sure if it could be done laparoscopically. They might want to take it out with a cut down the belly so none of it spills out. Most likely it is not cancer but just in case they do not want it breaking a part. You only have a less than 2% of it being cancer.
