Hi Helmar,
I'm on the web and just saw your note. Looks very promising. I have a feeling they are using it for the "new women on the block." Not us, unfortunately but you're in Australia so check it out! Hope you're doing good. I've been on the computer too long so have to get off now.
By the way are you going into Fall/Winter now? How cold does it get?
Take care,
:)Helen
I saw that one too! I have a custom 'google news' alert for anything related to ovca. Anyways the CTCA Cancer Treatment Centers of America are also doing vaccines for ovca in coordination with another company, they are starting this summer here in the States.
The only thing that is bad overall with all of these treatments is they consider successes even though tumors are still there....such an antiquated clinical trial system where more than 80% of your patients can still die but it's considered a successful drug. :(
Hi Helen and Alan.....I actually went and saw that Professor Mitchell at the end of 05 but they hadn't started Phase 3 then. He was looking for women who were more or less 'on the way out'.... and so I passed on going further with it. There still seems to be a long way to go, as they are talking of 3 years down the track.... we really need something now.
The figures on this on don't look that good...4 out of 21 with some success. Just wondering where the other 17 are? But, I guess they have to start somewhere. Going by the article, it seems that they are going to target patients who have been dx earlier.... (not too many of them, I don't think)...but I suppose we can only hope that there is a breakthrough sometime soon.
Helen....yes, it is out Autumn here now... and really lovely weather for people who come to visit from the Northern Hemisphere... it's not too hot, like Summer here.
I hope you are doing well, and Alan... your Mum is too.
Wishing all the best....Helen...
Anything that helps has got to be good! the more options we have the better.
