Becky,
I am so sorry to read this. My heart just goes out to you. I hate when doctors say something like that. They don't know, truly. and then you have that in your head. I hope you can work past that! I was watching Dr. Oz yesterday and they had a doctor/researcher on there who has come up with a pill (I think it was a pill) for cancer that only kills the cancer cells, not all the good cells and it has worked best on luekemia patients but apparently on 16 other cancers. They didn't say which ones but I thought of you and the other ladies on here. I can't remember the name now, glee something. Just know I am thinking of you and keeping you in my heart and in my prayers. You have fought a good fight and I know you will do your best to continue.
Many hugs,
Colleen
No apologies necessary. Your "job" right now is to take care of you and enjoy every moment with your family. Your doctor's comment was just a guess. My Dad fooled his doctors and lived almost 2 years past what they predicted. Sometimes I'm glad doctors are wrong.
hugs to you, irene
Thank you so very much for your caring and comforting words. The sense of peace and love they bring to me is overwhelming.
My last CT scan showed that my tumors have spread to my lymph nodes and throughout my lungs. They have also invaded my bladder and all around, have just grown. I have no more chemo left to try. I am praying for a miracle and taking IV Vitamin C infusions three times a week right now. I feel ok but it's hard to know how all this is going to play out.
My doctor told me I'd be really lucky of I were still here at Christmas...I hope to prove him very, very wrong!
I want to apologize for not being a very good co-community leader right now - I promise I will try to get on the message board more often.
Becky xx
