Get tested for lactose intolerance.... Just trust me.
thank you!!! i totally agree with you!!! Im just a nervous wreck, and very worried, and miserable.... and very scared that the doctors are gonna find something horrible.... I will probally have to take 2-3 zanax to even go to the doctor..... I have let this fear of what is going on inside my body take over..... and Im just scared to go to the doc, or have them run any test! Thank you very much again for your help and input, greatly appreciated!!!!
The test we are recommending are not bad at all. Yes you may have to skip a meal an dpossibly drink something as prep, but it is well worth it if it will determine the cause of your discomfort and possibly hopefully rule out something serious like OC (ovarian cancer).
Just relax and tell yourself you need to do this! As far as talking to the doctor, remember they are people too and put there pants on the same way you do! Also, they are there to serve you, not the other way around. Just because they have a medical degree doesn't make them gods.
You need to be calm and assertive when you say, that you have these symptoms and you want them to detemine the cause, not just surmize that it is IBS or anxiety. Tell them you want them to rule out something more serious and that the least invasive test is an abdominal/pelvic CT.
Remember you are responsible for your own health, the doctors are not!
Good luck.
PS - gas can make your stomach twitch and jump. I thought I had an alien inside me from gas pains and bloat!
also i dont if this is possible? can gas cause muscle movement or like twitchy fluttering feeling al through your body... like below rib cages, back, shoulder etc....
kimchi... oc as in ovarian cancer?? if so thats really scary.... although i dont experience the diahrea, i have more so costipation at times.... and i do feel as my hard to breathing and shortness of breathe is worse after i eat, which feels as if the gas pockets in my chest causes shortness of breath??... well thank u sooo much for your input
I, too, had lots of gas but no bloating in stomach and chronic diahrea and shortness of breath, all symptoms of my body having OC. Ask to see an OGBYN and have CT scan, pelvic exam, ultrasound and ask for xray to be done on your lungs. When you get the xray tell the doctor that you think you might have fluid in your lung, usually the standard pose is not use in this case as liquid tends to shift around. Good luck
Hey also i had a question...... i get really anxious and nervous when it comes to seeing docs and test run... andi have looked up those tests you recommend and they seem very frightening to me..... and it says you cant take , drink or eaat anything before testing..... do you know of any blood test that would confirm any problems??
Thank you soo much, i really appreciate you input, and I think i will def. tell the doctor what i think he needs to do, right i mean he is the one that is getting paid to do his job.... and i have had live with feeling like this everyday for 18months!!!! Thanks
To me your symptoms seem too intense to be "all in your head".
You need to either press your doctor to do some real tests or refer you to a gastroenterologist (sp?)to do some real tests (upper GI, endoscopy, abdominal/pelvic CT) to see if there is a cause. (You will have to demand he does some tests and not back down!)
If you don't feel your doctor will cooperate , then it may be best to go to the ER.
If you go to the ER do not "play down" your symptoms., put up a fuss and make sure they know how much discomfort you are in. Ask for an abdominal CT.
You shouldn't have to be this uncomfortable. It is not normal..
Good luck.
