Post complete Hysterectomy , am I at risk for ovarian cancer?

I had a complete hysterectomy in 2003, and was placed on HRT. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, October 2006. I have had a Bi-Lateraral  skin sparing masectomy, with reconstructive surgery. No chemo or rediation. Now my problem is, I had an incisional herina repair, followed by a second repiar that included mesh.  Four weeks after the surgery, I had a surgical drain inserted in my abdomin.  The drain, fell out after 3 weeks, while still draining 100 cc's a day.  Was admitted into the hospital for IV antibiotics for 4 days.  Saw the Dr. this past Wednesday, stomach bloated to the size of a 6 month preganacy.  Dr says no more he can do for me.Contacated  another Dr., go today for CAT scan.  I have symtoms of stomach bloating, lower back pain, pain during intercourse, frequent urination, and just feel like ****, all of the time. My question is, could I be at risk of Ovarian Cancer after having a complete hysterectomy? Oh, BTW, I had a huge ovaian cyst removed @ 19, where the left ovary was removed, borderline cancerous.  And the hysterectomy was due to fibriods.Any information would be helpful...

Hi, are you getting CA125 blood tests.  That is a test that detects anything that might be doing on in your intraperitoneal cavity (stomach, pancreas, kidneys, liver, etc).  And, sorry to say the answer is YES.  I had a total hysterectomy one year and they found what they said could have turned into a cancer in my fallopian tube.  Well, two years later I had a rise in my CA125 normal being 0-35 and mine went to 85 which most doctors wouldn't really worry about, but with my history, having had breast cancer in 97 and both breasts removed, they did a laparoscopy and I had fallopian tube CA and had surgery three days later.  Removed two encapsulated (good thing) tumors, one small attached to the sigmoid colon and one even smaller on the ureter....  they removed 3" of bowel on each side and they were clean so had more chemo, lost hair again but it has been three years, so I am encouraged.  I feel great but they do monotir my CA125 every 3 months.  THey did a study at MD Anderson and found that breast cancer women on Tamoxifen had low CA125's so they put me on Taoxifen, went down twice, went up and doctor and I agreed that if it went up again we would do an abdominal CA.  And, it went up to 45 so we did the CT.  Thank God it was normal.... so they switched me to Femara.  I go this week for another test.  Now they also use Thaladimide in Femara doesn't work. I feel great but my poor belly has so many scars on it that I just know the next surgery will be adhesions, YUK.....  Doensn't mean it will happen to you, but I think I would insist on the CA125 - now a lot of doctors don't like to do it because you do get some falst positives and they they are obligated to do tests but to me it is worth it.  Well, enough, but my opinion basically is get the CA 125 test and don't let any doctor tell you there isn't anythingmore they can do for you,  find another one.....  Its your life and you know how genuine your pain or problems are.  Best to you and will pray for you.  CAsurvivor9/3... 9 for breast cancer, 3 for fallopian, two primaries.....  How lucky I am huh?

Hi, the best thing you can do now is to await your CT scan results.  Do not be too alarmed.  Things may not be as bad as what you think or feel. Have faith in your prayers and hope for the best.
