Post surgery update

I had my operation (Laporotomy) on tuesday and I came home today. (The wound from the surgery is very sore but not too painful. Here is part of the diagnostic results. Ovarian mass does not look supicious, adhesions were stuck to my rectum and the omentum causing all the bowel obstructions. Also, he found a nodule that he has no clue what it is. He has never seen anything like it so he said it is probably a vascular clip from a previous surgery that began to "float" around and became incapsulated. He did not do frozen sections on my maas or whatever else he found because he didn't think they were 100% reliable, so I should get my biopsy results late Monday or any day thereafter. I feel pretty good. The only concern is the nodule that he has never seen before. He washed out my abdomen with saline and withdrew all of saline wash and sent it to look for microscopic malignancy. He does not want to take any chances. I am so looking forward to being pain free from the adhesions! Thanks for all you support. I will keep you posted.

All in all it sounds like it went well and you will be on the road to recovery.  As for the "unknown" thingy, hang in there.  A lot of times cysts or nodules can break free from their origination and "float" around, so to speak.  As far as your adhesions and the bowels, you will not know how to act.  I had the same problem (my surg 7/12) and since then, I am a new person in that department.  No more constipation or the other, cramps and constant pain.  It's amazing how adhesions can wreak so much havoc on your insides and having them removed is priceless.  I wish you the best of luck on the official
pathology report next week.  I am sure it will be fine!
