I am sure that you could make any apt. here in the States with any gyno who would take the stiches out, under the circumstances. Perhaps an open clinic too. If you call and tell the front desk about being here on a visit, they may fit you in. Be prepared to pay cash! K
Welcome to the Recovery Side! Get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids to keep your body hydrated. Sounds like you did well and are on the road to a complete recovery! Godspeed

Sounds like you're doing OK. Glad to hear it. THe nausea is probably R/T both the hormones and the surgery. It takes a while for your bowels to function properly again. Took me 2 days to get out a fart and a week before I had a decent BM! Sorry if too much info. My point is, your guts are still waking up and the nausea should resolve soon. If you are having actual vomiting keep trying to get the doc. Vomiting can be so straining on your healing tissues! and painful.
The doc should have mentioned the stitches. However, it is unlikely they would have used dissolvable sutures on the outside of the wound. THey will probably be removed when you go in next week. If they are dissolvable, they will probably be gone by the time you go. Unless they told you otherwise, you should keep that tape on until it falls off on it's own. Keep the area dry. Report any oozing or red puffiness. Hope that helps!
Thanks, it isn't actually Lupron, but that us the closest thing I could find available in the states to what they gave me here.
My doctor didn't actually give me a choice, they just gave me a shot after clearing the endo amd adhesions and said I would take it for 3 months to stop ovulation to keep the endo from coming back. After the three months the doctor told me I could try to get pregnant. He said I could expect side effects similar to menopause... I don't know what to expect, I am really confused and I wish I was dealing with all this at home in my own language.
had Lap on March 20th, no nausea after 'cuz they said they gave me something in the IV to help. Had some shoulder pain, but used the percoset (only took half a tab) to take the edge off. Knew about the caonstipation from all of you, so had hubby get me ducolax ASAP and took one little pill two days after, and VIOLA!! Carried a pillow with me for about 4 days, could not get a sneeze out and a cough...FAGETABOUT IT!!! I was superglued on my three incisions and my belly started going down after a week, can actually see me belly button. By day 8 I went back to Yoga, just couldn't do anything where I had to lay on my belly, played tennis and walked 2 miles on day 9 and have been playing tennis since. The superglue is starting to pull on my skin and that's a little bother some. Otherwise I have to say I feel better than ever (complex cyst that was resolving itself and endo on my ovaries and behind my uterus).
Thanks for your answers. I too am wondering when I will stop feeling pregnant! I feel much better than I did this morning although I have a terrible headache which is one of the side effects of the Deceapetyl shot.
I am not returning to the states at anytime soon so a clinic is not an option. I trust my French doctor, I am just frustrated with his staff.
I think maybe I don't have any stiches? I just have the white tape which I am not removing until it falls off!
Does anyone have any experience with endo or the decapeptyl shot (I believe it is Lupron in the US)?
I had lap last thurday and they told me that I could remove the bandaids the next day and then remove the white strips when the edges start to pull up. I have three incisions, one in my belly button which I cant see, one that is 1.5 inches, and another that is about .25 inches, this is the only one that wasn't closed up yet when I pulled the white tape off of them, I just covered it with another bandaid....I don't have any stitches. I'm curious how long it will take for my stomach to deflate, I still cant button any of my pants and I was hoping that after surgery I wouldn't feel so pregnant anymore..
