Recurrent LMP ovarian cystadenomas and kidney cysts

My question relates to a recent CT scan I had as a follow-up for a kidney stone and recurrent LMP ovarian tumors.
I have had 4 surgeries to remove lmp ovarian cyst adenomas and tumors.  With the 4th recurrence in 2002 I did not have my ovaries or uterus (removed 11+ years earlier with the last lmp tumor) with subsequent CT scans for follow-up, the technician has identified cysts on my right kidney.  Some reports specify how many, some describe them as hypo densities, and some mention only one cyst.
As I did not have any ovaries with the last tumor, the tumor had attached itself to my abdominal cavity-the intestines and abdominal wall (many adhesions), but not to the kidneys.
My concern is that my gyn in 1989 said that even though he was removing my ovaries and uterus, there was a chance that if he missed a cell, that a tumor could grow once again.  Well, sadly he was right and it took about 11 years for it to resurface and cause major damage to my intestinal tract before it was caught by another gyn.
Is it possible that the cysts on my kidney are related and should be biopsied? Thank you.

OHHHHH....one more thing...I too, being early staged was put on HRT....on it about 6 months when these new "masses" appeared.  There are many cysts, tumors, masses, whatever you want to call them, especially dealing with OvCa...that are estrogen driven...they feel that the HRT exasberated my issues...so, no more HRT, not even over the counter.

My GYN/Oncologist...told me that I probably go in and out of  menopause because of this remnant that is left behind.  I have been flashing since 2004, with no end in site.  I am guessing that at somepoint soon, (I am 50), I will start going through menopause for good.  Maybe then the flashes will go away!!!
Best of luck....

Thank you for your input.  After 24+ years dealing with LMP issues, you would have thought that I had heard of Ovarian Remnant Syndrome (ORS).  This is the first that I have heard of it, but it makes a lot of sense.  My onc/gyn notes for my surgery in 2002 stated that there was some ovary tissue remaining, but the adhesions were the messy part.  It had webbed itself throughout my entire abdomen.  Tumors, cancer, and cysts run strong in my family on the paternal side (cousins died of cancer, uncles, aunts, etc), but we also have cysts and tumors that are benign.  I guess I'll have to check more into ORS.  24+ years later I still have horrible hot flashes.  I wonder if that is related.  I stopped taking HRT in 2002.
Thanks.

have you seen a gyn/oncologist?

I too have Ovarian Remnent Syndrome...and have had re-curring cysts in the pelvic area.  I too am an Ovarian Cancer survivior, stage 1A.  I too have cysts on my kidneys.

Now, all that being said, I have had a total of two surgeries and although there are more cysts...the doctors are not too keen on a 3rd sugery because of all the risks.  The doctors have also mentioned that some people are just cystic and develop these things....doesn't mean that it is cancer.

Not always easy to live with...and I don't know what the right answer is.
