Saline test?

Sorry to bother you all. My daughter is having various tests done and they mentioned flushing saline into her uterus. She's also having blood work, ultrasound tests, etc. I thought a TVUS would see most everything. They said she has an enlarged uterus. She's been trying to get pregnant with no success plus has off cycle bleeding, in general everything seems messed up right now. Anyway, anyone know about this saline test?

Interesting. I wasn't even sure what to google since I didn't know what it was called. The proper name of it would never have popped into  my mind, that's for sure.

Here I thought the TVUS was invasive enough. Thank you for the help. Now I know what to look for online.

this is what I found  I had never heard of this test before, evidently it shows  up the uterus and any abnormalities better.

  Invasive diagnostic ultrasonography

Saline infusion sonohysterography is becoming an important technique for investigating infertile women. It is very useful for excluding or confirming the presence of submucous fibroids, polyps, intrauterine adhesions and for studying the uterine cavity shape in a coronal view with 3-D ultrasonography.
