The solid area could also be a retracted blood clot. If so, he clot will dissolve on its own and it will not grow. So a short term f/u may show it gone. Goodluck and keep us posted!
Hey there. Just try to remember that 99% of ovarian cysts are benign. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed

Thank you everyone for your support. Means a lot to hear different thoughts from folks also experiencing the same things.
Terrilg and Mickeyvickie I appreciate some of your ideas. I'll try to go in tommorrow and get more information. I hope it is a collapsed functional cyst that has yet to absorb. Boy that would be nicer than other things. Support from me to you as well.
Did you get a feel from the report for whether your "solid mass" was truly a solid mass, or was it possibly a collapsed functional cyst that has yet to completely resolve? That would offer one explanation for the small amount of free fluid associated with the ovary and cyst.
Actually, you just need more information. I hope you get it, soon. And please do let us know.
Well the ultimate decision will be between you and your doctor of course. I can only tell you my experences. I also use clomid and it made my right ovary over stimulate and caused a cyst. It is very common to "wait and watch" many cysts will go away on there own. My only suggestion with being on the clomid that you get US frequently to map the progress of the cyst. My story is not a good one overall (no cancer thank GOD). Just remember that 99% of cysts are not cancer. I have mixed feeling on the wait and watch. Part of me says why have surgery if you don't have to. The other part of me says if the cysts begins to grow larger then the alien must go. Good luck to you and you are in my thoughts. Good luck my sister cyster. LOL
To answer Hudson's questions: I'm 36 years old and the large cyst was fluid filled but the smaller mass was solid both in the same ovary. The dr was not in today and another gyn dr said that no urgent appt to speak with my primary gyn was needed. I'm still trying to get an urgent appt sometime before the weekend hits due to the scariness of this.
