Sciatica and Ultrasound

I recently had an ultrasound to see about an ovarian cyst or uterine growth. I have been experiencing lower back pain and abdominal pains. After the ultrasound, not even two hours later I started having Sciatica( at least that's what my mom says). I tried calling the doctor that day, but he was gone already and he does not come back into the office until Tuesday. My question is, is it possible that the ultrasound caused my Sciatica? I had to have two different types of ultrasound( a normal one and a new one that goes into the vagina). The pain has not gone away. Thank you.

please forgive me as i am loopy from meds at the moment..when you say siatica, are you referring to hip pain?if you are,i was wondering if it could be because of the position you were laying in during the u/s,and also the legnth of time you were in that position...sonie

I dont think that the ultra sound caused it ,but it could be that the cyst is sitting or pressing up against that nerve and causing you to have problems with it....
