Sick in pain and fed up,what is a woman to do..

I went to my kids fall festival at school and when i left the feeling of nausia hit me so fast i almost didnt make it to the restroom to throw up ..Yesterday the pain was so bad radiating from the left ovary to my kidney and the front in groin area. By the time night fall came i had took two pain pills and they dont even touch the pain anymore i just felt like i couldnt take it anymore...When do the doctors relize ya can only go through so much pain and be miserable before they say ok,enough is enough..I am starting to get really scared because all of the symptoms that i have with two complex cyst containing solid and cystic components one on each ovary ,it is just getting worse. And i have gained 20lbs since my last appt. on oct 13.Things are really getting bad with my system and i notice that i am getting full alot quicker than usual so i no that my weight gain is not from eating cause i dont eat till like 4 in the evening and then it is not a whole lot..So what  now.

You sound exactly like me this past weekend.  I wound up in the ER.  A CT scan showed that I have a teratoma on each ovary.  All the sudden, this makes sense.  I've had severe abdominal pain lasting about an hour, about 5 times in the past 3 years.  I've been borderline anemic more than once.  I'm tired all the time.  I've complained to docs before about my abdominal pain.  One gave me Zantac, and the other said it was probably nothing.

Yoohoo, I'm growing teeth and hair inside my ovaries, yes there is a problem!!!

Anyway, I'm scouring over everybody's posts trying to figure out if I should have a hysterectomy or not.  Have you considered this?  Have you made an appt. to go see your doc again?  If you're throwing up, couldn't that mean your ovary is twisted?

I just started my period today and all the pain is gone.  All the sudden I don't want to go next Tuesday for my hysterectomy.  But I guess I need to.  The other option is for me to keep one ovary and my uterus, and get a D&C.  But someone here said the D&C didn't help at all.  Have you had one of those?

When I told my doctor that something was wrong, pain, feeling like I'm going to throw up, tired, cranky and have gained 35lbs in the past year. All he said was you are in your 40's now. I have been the same size for 20 years, I don't overeat, I don't exercise like I should but I'm not a couch potatoe. When I went to my gyn he did an us and found the cysts.  I hated being right in this instance but I knew something was wrong.  Doctors need to start listening to us since we do know our body's better than they do.
Good luck...
