I didn't know that cysts, gas, decreased appepitite were all related. I experience the same symptoms and my doctor hasn't said anything about it. Any suggestions? I take Aciphex but I don't know if it helps outside of decreasing the belching and burping. Thanks cysters!
I've had consistent, mild nausea for about 2 months. Sometimes worse, but I've just been eating little meals. I've lost about 10 pounds (yay! something good comes of this!), but the nausea is aggravating. The Maalox/GasX combo liquid helps.... Alot of the nausea seems to be caused by gas from the gastrointestinal problems that the cyst causes. The Maalox part helps digestion and the GasX part keeps the gas from forming and the pressure from hurting or causing more nausea.
Is your surgery for ovarian masses of some sort? That's what I have and I have been sick since February. Feeling nauseous, hate to eat - I only eat because I know I should and then it's very little because there's no room because of the masses. I think it's a symptom of the cysts/masses whatever. At least that's what I've read and I have all of the symptoms.
True, the cyst can make you feel sick. Your hormones are out of whackk (like when you are preg.) I tend to feel it first thing in the am and right when I lay down to go to bed at night. Hopefully it will pass once the cyst is gone. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed

There is no possibility of pregnancy. Had hysterectomy last year.
Could it simply be that you ate something bad at Burger King? I once got an e-coli infection from eating at a popular fast food place, and was nauseated for several weeks. Try Pepto Bismol and see if it relieves your symptoms. Otherwise, as the other ladies suggest, it could be a manifestation of digestive problems associated with cysts.
Is it due to cystic growth or changes.
My cust hasn't grown more than .01cm since diagnosis (unless it's done something big in the last 3 weeks since my last TVUS). Diagnosed in December 05, nausea started end of February and continued since with no cyst growth. So I'm guessing it's partially how your body is reacting to the hormone changes caused by the cyst.
I think it is possible to be a little of all three. If this has been going on for a week, perhaps it is time to call your doctor. It may be nothing, or maybe it is something you need meds for. Is there anyway you could be pregnant? I read all of the posts, and sometimes I forget what is going on with who. I will be praying for you. Kasie
