Surgery Scheduled For Tomorrow. nervous.

dtc
Hey everyone.
So my mom is scheduled for a TAH tomorrow morning.
Starting to get very nervous.
So a little background: My mom's last 'normal' gyno exam was in Oct...she got the all clear. Early Feb. a small (5 cent) cyst was found on an ovary. They said it looked fine and she went on vacation. Upon returning she went in for a follow-up US and the cyst had grown to 7 cent and they said they did not like the look of it. She was sent to a top Oncologist who reccommended due to her age (she's 67/post menopause)taht she have a TAH which we agreed to. Her surgery was scheduled for a week and half later..tomorrow. Now, I'm starting to get scared again.
Please can you give em reasons to be optimistic. My mum is scared.
I'm going to be a bag of nerves tomorrow. Is there ANYTHING I should ask the surgeon right after the surgery??
thank you so much.

What ever it may be it has been detected early and that is always good.  Also, 99% of ovarian cysts are benign.  Your mom is in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

Whatever is going on is more than likely something caught early and the odds are in her favor that it will also be benign.  I wish you and your mother well for tomorrow.
