Surgery again

Anyone had a same problem? My hyster. was this year, in 2006 July. My uterus was only removed, the doctor told me my ovaries are fine. I had this LOW back pains sience my surgery, and I complained him, couple of times. He told me, just a "healing process" and everything fine! I'm still gaining, and not loosing weight, pushing someting from inside, I can feel it. Finally I went for the check-up today, and he did feel a mass on my right ov. site. He ask me to go ultras. and do the CA125 for beginning... I'm so scared and sad, I waisted 5 months for nothing. I will go to the blood and ultras. on 27th.
Anyone had a same experience, please help me out. After the surg. my report was negative, nothing... Do I have OV? Sue

Why was the uterus removed?  You probably have a cyst on the ovary and they are usually benign. Good Luck and keep us posted.

chances are--and I'm just guessing here--when you had your uterus out, the doctor got a look at your ovaries and didn't see anything abnormal then. And if that was only 4 months ago, that seems a good sign that nothing too terrible could have grown since then.

Could your problems have anything to do with the hysterectomy? I know some women have problems with scar tissue, adhesions, etc. I'm not a doctor but I've heard other women talking about that.

I was given the opportunity when I was getting ready to have my surgery that if I want the ovaries removed only if something is wrong, or want them taken out anyways.  I opted for that because I have heard so many complain that they have problems with their ovaries afterwards.  I am recovering from it two weeks yesterday.
