Oops...I started a new one too! I think we received a can of alligator too...never attempted that one though. Even I have limits!
I started a new one 2. I thought that all the American, Canadian and English Cysters had gone for dinner.
Can you buy tinned crocodile in America Snorchy?
Vixen, was your mass located in line or slightly below your belly button? Did you feel it moving around? Is it normal to feel lumps? I feel silly asking that but the doctors have been making me feel like a hypocondriac.

Yes Kate, my mass originated from the right ovary and extended up to the belly button. I felt it at the gym when my abs were tight (or you know, as tight as they can be after 3 kids!!). This has been great ladies, lots of fun finding out about one another! A light relief.
Sorry how far did your mass spread across? I wish that I had abs, all I have now is an extra 25 kgs with a blown up stomach!!!
I love these cyber parties.
I wonder where Raven Lady got to?

I suppose you can buy canned alligator here...but not in the regular market!
My boyfriend just told me a story that he had heard regarding the eating of possum. I guess this is pretty common in some of our southern states, but apparently whike it is cooking, it emits a terrible odor (kind of like me these days!)Did you notice this with your neighbor?
You make me laugh. I didn't know that eating Possum was so common. Maybe it will be on all the menus in America and Australia soon. My neighbour in the cave used to smell becuase he didn't have a bath. It used to rain alot in the bush and one night he turned up and wanted some matches, he was soaking wet and dirty. My Mum offered him a bath and apparently he left the water in and it was black. He got kicked out of the cave from the Department of Conservation, and later on died from a Catus juice overdose.

Not sure which thread to use. I'm confused! My mass felt like it spread from my belly button right out to my side. But I couldn't feel it at any other time other than at the gym. The drs could though. When I got the CT scans, the mass actually sat pretty much from my spine out the the front (I had a huge tummy), and from the ovary up to the belly button - it was (according to CT scan) 9.4 x 9.1 x 13.5 cm.
Thanks Vixen,
When and how did you get it removed? I wonder why you could only feel it at the gym? What ever it is its uncomfortable and presses on my lower right back, and sometimes I have these pulling feelings, did you have that problem to?
Your Husband sounds nice and caring. I was saying to Snorchy that the Cysters are lucky to have caring boyfriends and husbands.
When I had my transvaginal ultrasound the technician spent a few minutes on the left ovary, then when she was testing the right ovary she said that she was trying to locate my right ovary and that she found it, then she pretty much took the prober straight out. I started of having a pelvic ultrasound but I had been to the toilet as I can't hold on with my bladder problems, so she couldn't complete the pelvic ultrasound. I asked the technican if everything was okay and she said that it appeared to be and that the radiologist would go over it.

Long story .... I found the mass and had an u/s (I'm not sure why I couldn't feel it any other time than at the gym, but I probably didn't want to feel it - you know?? Denial). CA-125 test done. Referred to Gyn - CA-125 level was 108 - high and because of hx of raised CA level plus large complex cyst, told suspicious of ovca and referred for cat scan to see if any spread. Gyn referred me to Gyn/Onc in Sydney. Results of CT scan showed no sign of spread. Phew, relaxed a little. Surgeon came to Canberra and operated via laparotomy - vertical incision. Tumour suspect from frozen section biopsy, so surgeon continued with TAH plus removal of some fatty tissue around bowel and lymph nodes from right side. A second growth on uterus was also sectioned off separately to be tested. After one week, results came back no malignancy. I am a little over 5 weeks post op. I am returning to work this Friday (I work in school office so only a total of 9 working days and then I'm on 2 weeks holiday!!) I go back to see specialist on 10 April with a very loooong list of questions.
You can really overdose on cactus juice? How much of it does one have to drink for that?
That was very nice of your mom to offer him a bath...I'm sure he smelled worse than any cooking possum could!
