Good news for you. As for your friend: absolutely she is in our prayers. Please remind her that the ca125 is not a reliable test for premenopausal women and that 99% of ovarian cysts are benign!

We will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers!!!
Take care!
Joebubbles...tell Shari that we are praying for her!
As for the clotting problems, if you do not have adverse pre-existing conditions or a family history of clotting disorders, if you do not smoke, if you are not sedentary, and if you do not take long air flights or long rides in automobiles, then it is not likely that you will have a problem. Essentially, the women suffering from the blood clots associated with BCPs have one or more of the above situations.
Also, it is possible to have a blood test performed periodically to determine your clotting factors, so if you truly need relief then you should talk more with your doctor about the prescription options and what support you can get.
