Here's the kicker, Bob Hoskins is British, amazes me given his ability to affect anything from and American east coast accent all the way to a midwest accent. I saw that movine last weekend and recall thinking it was the first flick I'd seen where his part allowed him to use his native accent! MV

I'm English - Bob Hoskins used to be on TV a lot here before he broke into films - has a strong London accent originally. He's been in a really good Dickens adaptation recently on TV here which you should look out for.
