TVS final results. Very confused!!!

I finally got the final sono report from Friday.  The complex cyst that I was supposed to have removed on my right ovary is completely gone but I now have several cysts on my right ovary the largest measuring 1.3 cm. and I have a dominant 2 cm cyst on my left ovary. Now what puzzles me the most is that in March they thought the cyst I had could represent an ovarian neoplasm and I had several sonos after that and the complex cyst had persisted. Now 3.5 weeks later the complex cyst is totally gone. I've always had one fibroid in my uterus and now the Radiologist found another fibroid on the left that is measuring close to 3 cm. Really confused. Can the Radiologist mistaken the cyst for a fibroid? 3.5 weeks ago the fibroid was never detected and on all my prior TVS it was never detected. Can that happen? I guess not having surgery on May 22nd was a good omen because they wouldn't have found the cyst that they have been following. I'm still experiencing alot of discomfort on my right side with achiness and some pain. Can these be caused by the multiple cysts, fibroid etc...? Tomorrow I'm scheduled for an endometrial bx. to see about my lining. I've been bleeding every 2.5 weeks and its not normal. Period is bright red when I wipe but no real flow but when I go to the bathroom it just poors out of me with clots. This has been happening every 2.5 - 3 weeks. Not sure what they are going to do. I feel that I have to urinate all the time and I can feel alot of pressure and achiness in my back. Can these symptoms be caused by a fibroid? Anyone experience any of this? Help!! Anna

No at this point I'm not having surgery.  The complex cyst that I had since January finally resolved.  I was supposed to have surgery on May 22nd but my blood counts were too low.  I guess it was a good omen that I didn't go through with the surgery.  I still have a discomfort on my right side although the cyst is gone.  My GYN thinks its scar tissue/adhesions from my prior abdominal surgery that could  be causing my discomfort.  I'm being worked up now for my dysfunctional bleeding again.  I had an endometrial bx. yesterday and I'm scheduled for a sono that they infuse saline solution into your uterine cavity.  Depending on what my biopsy shows he will consider either doing a D&C or endometrial ablation to help with the irregular bleeding and the breakdown of my lining.  I'm kind of tired of doing all this.  I just want this to end but it looks like this may be an ongoing thing for years to come until I reach menopause.  Thanks for your advice.  Anna

Hi there, I had spotting on and off (no clots) due to my serous cystadenoma. I also had lower backache, pain down my legs, pelvic pressure, night sweats/hot flashes. The ovarian cysts upset your hormones and can cause all kinds of symptoms. And if the cysts are pressing on your bladder, they can cause the urge to urinate too. I would guess it is the cysts more than the fibroids causing your problems, as I have 3 fibroids too...have had them for years... and they don't cause me any problems, but my ovarian cyst surely did.

Are you having surgery for the cysts or are they watching them?Hope you feel better soon.

I can tell you my symptoms from last year--I had bleeding off and on as you describe for a few months (but without the clots)--painful urination at times--and a slight backache.  TVUS at that time revealed a growth that the gyn said he wasn't quite sure how to designate it because of its unusual size.  He said too large to be a polyp, but too small to be a fibroid (Sorry, but I don't think he ever really told me the size, so I can't give that to you), but he eventually labeled it a polyp and removed it.

I have been fine ever since until these new symptoms developed a month ago, and I don't think they are related in any way.

There are a lot of people on this site that have a lot, lot more knowledge than me--so I am sure someone will get back to you.

May Jehovah bless you!
