I know how scary the wait is for your mom, and can only imagine what it is like for the family.
I would like to make one suggestion, if cancer is suspected, please seek the opinion of a GYN/Oncologist. They are the experts and studies have shown, as Dian would say, you only have one chance to get it right. I am guessing you are not in the United States so I do not know if this is an option for you.
Important things to remember, most cysts are benign, the size of the cyst has no correlation to it being cancerous or not and a CA125 is not a reliable diagnoistic tool.
Good luck and please let us know how it goes.
The wait is the hardest part....I would say, try not to worry until you know you have something to worry about....but, we all know that is easier said than done.

Think positive that is the key. Usually they can tell the difference between a cyst and a tumor and CA-125 can be elevated for different reasons. Be strong and let us know how everything goes. We send u all the positive vibes u need.

Thanx for the comments - appreciated. She is in some discomfort, but mainly she feels extremley lethargic. No doubt because of the size of the cyst.
I will keep you updated anyway.

Gosh, she's got to be uncomfortable with that size cyst. As for the CA 125, the numbers can be raised from other causes like inflammation or infection. Obviously her body is out of whack right now. I'm glad her other tests are normal. The waiting is tough but I'm sure they'll move things right along and get that cyst removed. Let us know how she's doing.
Until a pathology is done of the cyst, no one can say what it is. It's a tough wait, but until the cyst is removed and sent to pathology, no one can say for sure if it is cancer or benign cyst.
Hang in there ... keep the prayers going ... good luck
Judy
