Will I know if cyst bursts?

I have a 2 cm. functional cyst on my left ovary.  Every once in a while I get stabbing pains in my lower left abdomen.  I am concerned that the cyst will rupture.  If it does, will I know it? I know that most cysts rupture unnoticed.  Do you all think that I would notice with a 2 cm. cyst??

Most women have functional cysts every month, and they either go away, or burst.  Most don't even know it happened.  Others do know when it happens.  I had a Hemmorragic cyst that burst in September, about a week before I was scheduled for a diagnostic Laposcopy.  I did notice it, and it did cause a lot of pain for a day or so.

i had a cyst bust,and ill e honest,i ended up in the er,with severe pain...but,god works in mysterious ways,because,had it not been for the etreamly painful ordeal,i would have never known about my complex cyst....sonie
