advice please??

Hi im 24 10 weeks ago i had a laparotomy to remove a begnin 15cm cyst i have since recovered well however during the surgery i lost my right ovary. i had a period last month and during the middle of my cycle had bad pain on left hand side for a few days low pain and side pain also some cramps i seen my gnyo and he said he doubts there is another cyst on my left side as it all looked fine in op 10 weeks ago however he has booked me a pelvic scan which is this thursday it has taken a month to get appoiment and after a few days the pains settled and i went back to normal im now mid cycle again and in pain again period crapms pain in my side and lower down. Does this sound like ovulation pain or another cyst? is it possible for 1 to grow so quickly in the matter of weeks and present symptoms i have my scan this week anyway so will soon find out im jut worried if i loose this ovary as well i wont be able to have children.

Any advice would be apreciated. Claire x

Hi again Claire... I'm glad that things have settled for you for the present, but do follow up on it, as it doesn't sound right for you to go through that. That's good that you have a little girl, as at least you are a Mum, so if anything did happen that prevented you from having other children.. then one is better than none. :-) Let's know how it goes for you, and I wish you all the best.

Hi Claire... Now, while I'm not up with  this sort of thing, I'm just wondering, as you seem to think that you may not be able to have children if you lose both ovaries, would there be any merit in you having some of your eggs set aside and kept for the future, in case something does happen that you are not able to produce anymore. Maybe this is something that you could discuss with your Gyno before they do anymore operations or treatments? I'm not sure if I've got this right, but it's just a thought that came into my mind when I read your post.
Wishing you all the best... you are too young to be facing these worries.
Hugs...Helen....
