brownish menstrual cycles

I have been having brownish bleeding at the begining of my cycles and they have been coming a week early every month. I went to my ob and he said this was normal for my age. He gave me some progesterone cream and ordered a tv us.  When I went for this I saw a black area were the right ovary was and I was wondering what that means.  Could it be a cyst the rad tech said it looked like a cyst but do I take her word for it.

I have the same symptons.  I also have an enlarged uterus.
I went for an ultrasound yesterday.  ??

I am 34 and have been having similar symptoms (see previous postings for Ted 411).  Do you know for sure if the ultrasounds showed anything?  Let me know what the doctor saya.  I just had a laparoscopy and am still undiagnosed.
