Hi, I had Stage 1 Borderline (non-invasive) my CA125 was 66 prior to my first surgery which only removed my left ovary. After surgery, my CA125 was regularly tracked for a year and a half and it literally bounced back and forth between 35 and 55. It did not go below 35 (I was still having regular periods at that time and that's why they said it was high - but it had scared me at that time). I decided I should have a full hysterectomy (not because of the CA125). After my hysterectomy it dropped and was under 10 I believe. They told me because my CA125 was bouncing up and down it likely was not a good marker for me. So, it was not tracked in my follow-ups for the 5 years later after my hysterectomy.
Take Care,
Debbie
My normal seems quite high at around 15-18, but from what I know, it's always been around that. I had a chance to sneak a peak at my medical records yesterday though and noticed, to my surprise, that back in August last year it actually dropped to 9 - it's never been in the single digits! I know it's gone back up since then, but that was still pretty exciting for me :)
When I was diagnosed stage 3C, it was 46. I don't have borderline tumors, but rather a low grade invasive ovarian cancer...
Take care,
Becky
