concern of recurrence

Hi,
I had a large mass of 13cm by 14cm removed  last year after a couple of years being told I had a ovarian cyst then that I was constipated and when it didn't go away and grew to that size was sent for further tests to then be told they thought it was ovarian cancer, after they operated and removed the mass I was told it was a tumor in my overie. Since then I have not been told any further information or the chances of recurrence either benign or malignant, I am quite concerned and wonder if a full hysterectomy is something I should think about to avoid this.

You need to get a copy of the pathology report.  If you don't understand it (not unusual), get your doctor to explain every word.  I don't know where you are, but it would be unusual in the US not to have some regular follow-up with your doctor.

Good luck, and let us know what you learn.

Was the tumor they removed cancerous?  If you don't know, you need to find that out.  Then further decisions can be made with that information.
