I hope I am posting this in the correct area. I am still new to this forum. I have had 4 occurrences of LMP tumors and adhesions: 1987, 1987, 1989, and 2002. Each time I have had surgery. Within the past 6 months or so I have been getting the uh-oh signs: extreme weight loss, fatigue, stomach troubles. Would a PET scan be able to detect a recurrence of an LMP tumor? I have never had one, although I have had many CT scans. The reason why I am asking is that in 1999 I began to get the uh-oh feeling and was told by many doctors not to worry, my symptoms were nothing more than aging. By the time my tumor was found three years later, my entire abdomen was full of adhesions and I am literally stapled together inside from all the cutting. I do not want to wait three years to have my tumors found if they indeed have.
Thank you.
