do overies grow back after they have been surgically removed?

i had my right overy and right tube removed when i was 24, and now 10 yrs later they tell me my right tube has grown back, it also has a cyst. is this possible?

Hi there.  The ovary itself does not grow back, however if microscopic cells of the ovary were left behind, then cysts can actually grow on those cells.  This is called Ovarian Remnant Syndrome (ORS).  Several women here have ORS.  Get a 2nd opinion with a gyn/onc as they are specialists and have seen everything.  Although 99% of ovarian cysts are benign, you need to continue to get medical treatment and have them checked.  The only way to know for sure if it is ORS is to have the cysts and surrounding cells biopsied.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed
