liver cyst

I just had my three month cat scans and it showed I have a cyst on my liver.  Is that common for someone who has had ovarian cancer and chemo?  I had a hysterectomy in March 2007 and had chemo through June and have been having good cat scans and CA125 tests since.

I have one, too.  My doctors, different doctors, told me it was absolutely common and nothing to worry about.  Perfectly healthy people get them, too.  They just come and go.  Best of luck to both of us!

Same here. I was told for two years that I had a cancer in the liver, but as nothing has changed in that time, the Doctors have now decided that it's just part of my liver structure, and that many people have little defects in/on their livers, but they are not necessarily malignant. I wouldn't worry about it, as I'm sure if there is any problem it will be picked up early. Wishing you all the best...hugs...Helen...

me too,,,But mine are minute and cannot tell what they are so my Onc said they are lessions and  made do another 6 rounds of chemo but 2 scans later, the spots remained the same size, number, location.  When she told me that I would have to continue another 3 rounds, I decided to get 2nd and 3rd opinion and both these oncos told me that they are most likely not lessions and I agree.  So I stopped the chemo after 12 cycles.  Now I have them monitored when I go for follow up 3 month check ups.
