laprotomy numbness

hi, im 18 and i had a cyst on my left ovary the size of a grapefruit. i had a laprotomy done on april22/08 and my left ovary was removed. i was just wondering why i still had numbness around my scar? should i do sit ups to get the nerves going again? also is vitamin e good for reducing scars?

I had my surgery done in 2004 and still have numbness around my scar....I don't know if it ever goes away.

I had surgery in 2005 and still have numbness around my scar too, I don,t think it goes away . My sisters ceasarean  section scar still feels numb 11 years later so I think they must cut through some major nerves. It used to bother me cause it felt so weird but you do get used to it after a while.
